En una hist\u00f3rica ceremonia, casi 150 delegaciones y m\u00e1s de 250.000 fieles despidieron al papa Francisco en un conmovedor funeral en San Pedro. Tras la misa exequial el f\u00e9retro del Sumo Pont\u00edfice fue trasladado hasta la bas\u00edlica de Santa Mar\u00eda la Mayor ya descansa en paz. El presidente, Javier Milei, particip\u00f3 con una comitiva reducida.
Tras el conmovedor funeral, la sepultura del papa Francisco tuvo lugar en la bas\u00edlica de Santa Mar\u00eda la Mayor. La misma se produjo ante el cardenal camarlengo, Kevin Joseph Farrel, y familiares del pont\u00edfice, seg\u00fan indic\u00f3 la agencia de noticias.
Tambi\u00e9n estuvieron presentes en la ceremonia los cardenales que acompa\u00f1aron el f\u00e9retro. Francisco descansar\u00e1 donde se encuentra el icono de la Virgen \u2018Salus Populi Romani\u2019, de la que era muy devoto.
